Flatbush Fists is a 5-part documentary series that explores the influence that the Martial Arts have had on New York City culture since the 1960s and 70s. Through interviews, archival footage, and personal narratives, the series paints a picture of the lasting impacts the art form has made on film, hip hop, breakdancing and Women’s empowerment in the city. Featuring Soke Haisan Kaleak, Grand Master Bill McCloud, Sifu Carl Albright, the "Black Dragon" Ron van Clief, actor Taimak Guarriello, screenwriter Louis Venosta, martial artist Annie Ellman, Sensei Gerald Orange, children’s author Dimitrea Tokunbo, instructor Anthony Colon, Rocksteady crew co-founder Santiago "Jo Jo" Torres, rapper Haile Ali and Grand Master Rollie "Lumumba" Hernandez, Flatbush Fists will take you on a journey from Brooklyn’s first class of martial arts practitioners to its torch-bearers of tomorrow.

In the 1980s, Howard Bloom was running the largest PR firm in the music industry, with an epic client list that included Michael Jackson, Prince, Bob Marley, and Joan Jett. But in 1987, he disappeared, struck down by a rare disease that left him bedridden for over a decade. He eventually resurfaced- this time as an author, putting out one book after another, each work connected in a quest to understand humanity’s place in the cosmos. Now 73 years old and disease free, Bloom believes he’s figured out what the universe wants from each of us; he just needs to get it all down in the time he has left.

Nison Aranov was saved from a troubled youth the day he met his table tennis coach in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. 40 years later, he has a ping pong club of his own in the basement of a parking garage in Brooklyn, where he trains the next generation of champions- most notably, a mega-talented Israeli immigrant named Mishel. Nison believes Mishel has what it takes to make the American national team, but his skills will be put to the test at a tournament in Westchester that attracts the best talent in the country.

The Sweatshop Of Wall Street is a short documentary about the world of direct sales in New York City. The piece follows of Phil and Zao, two young salespeople who made as little as $0.50 an hour hawking cellphone contracts to passersby in Brooklyn, New York. From a misleading Craigslist ad, to minuscule wages and questionable workplace routines, the documentary aims to expose the strange world of direct sales and marketing, and shed light on employment practices one has to see to believe.
